Group title: 21st Century Pagans

Abandon all hope ye who enter here! So much for Dante, meanwhile bring on the dancing girls! This group is for people who have relinquished godism in favour of reality. Pagans are welcome but we are not into spells and potions or superstitious notions. We're here to celebrate LIFE and to study ways to challenge organised religion. We welcome rational atheists, agnostics, deists, humanists, skeptics... in fact anyone who has seen through bible bullshit and who would like to play an active role in restoring sanity to planet Earth, particularly to Telopea.

"The mind gives meaning to anything but the meaning it gives is meaningless."

J. Krishnamurti

If you agree with that statement then you might be the sort of person we're looking for. Let me ask you a question - how's your brainfill? In other words, how much crap do you carry around with you, convinced that it is the absolute divine truth?

I've met a great many people who believe they have the answer to life. Generally their belief is based on old technology, centuries old garbage generated by ignorant savages who knew next to nothing about anything. This garbage is referred to as "ancient wisdom".

Then there are people, including atheists who believe that Dick Cheney employed teams of invisible demolition men to plant hundreds of sticks of invisible dynamite in invisible holes and then run miles of invisible cables across floors, down stair wells and lift shafts of the World Trade Center. And no one noticed!

They think because they're atheists they are people of reason, yet they believe things every bit as stupid as the stupidist of religions.

And so we're not out to make friends with people whose brainfill is plain silly. We're seeking that one in a thousand person who has seen through the absurdity of life and who notices how the human brain functions, or rather, malfunctions...

We live on a planet populated by people suffering from mad sheep disease, who share their lives with 28,000 nuclear warheads - enough to destroy all life on planet Earth several times over.

If you grasp the significance of that, you're invited to join the Circle of Athena.

PS: We don't worship Greek gods but we do talk to garden gnomes
